About this dive site

This dive site, known as Small Crack, is typically accessed via liveaboard trips. Divers enter the water from the outer reef and navigate through a crack into a sheltered lagoon, or vice versa. The dive involves traversing the reef, potentially encountering moderate currents depending on the tide and time of year. There's no known historical significance or specific story behind the name, but its unique feature of a swim-through into a lagoon is its defining characteristic.

Marine life is abundant. Garden eels, clownfish, and a variety of reef fish are common sightings. The site is rich with table and fire corals, gorgonians, and other hard and soft corals.

The best time to visit is likely during the warmer months, typically from April to October, when water temperatures are comfortable and visibility is generally higher. Divers should possess good buoyancy control and navigation skills due to the complexity of navigating the reef and potential currents. This dive is not suitable for inexperienced divers or freedivers due to the site's depth and potential for currents.
