About this dive site

This dive site was created in 1990 when the 482M and Batty's Barge were intentionally sunk as part of a reef-building project. The aim was to introduce a variety of marine life to the area. It offers diving at a maximum depth of 16 meters, making it ideal for both beginners exploring wreck dives and experienced divers seeking challenging explorations. The seabed is relatively flat and sandy. A notable feature is an entrance hatch leading into the boiler room – this provides a swim-through passage for those with appropriate training.

The site boasts numerous points of interest and offers good visibility, allowing divers to fully appreciate the submerged structures. The area is home to a diverse range of aquatic species due to the artificial reef created by the sunken vessels.
