About this dive site

This dive site, Neptune Table (שולחנות נפטון), offers a deep dive to several large stony corals situated between 25 and 30 meters (75-100 feet). Divers can access the site from two convenient boardwalks or directly from the shore. The descent is along a 60-degree angle, providing a relatively straightforward entry into the underwater landscape. Excellent visibility is a consistent feature, making navigation and observation relatively simple.

The marine life at Neptune Table is diverse. While the description highlights the presence of garden eels in the seagrass beds during descent, divers can also expect to encounter a variety of open-ocean species. Turtles are a common sight, and the potential for spotting other larger pelagic animals adds to the excitement. The stony corals themselves provide habitat for a diverse array of smaller reef inhabitants, although macro life might not be as abundant as in shallower, more sheltered reefs.

The best time to visit Neptune Table is likely during the warmer months (May-October), when water temperatures are more comfortable and visibility tends to be at its best. However, good visibility is reported year-round. Due to the depth, this site is not suitable for snorkeling or freediving. Divers should maintain awareness of their air supply, and proper dive planning is essential before undertaking this dive. Strong currents are unlikely at this location, so it should be safe for experienced divers.
