This dive site is located within the ‘Zona A’ of the Parco archeologico di Baia. It's a submerged imperial complex, specifically the Ninfeo Sommerso dell'imperatore Claudio – an ancient rectangular building featuring a reconstruction of numerous statues. These statues formed a "gallery" displaying portraits from the Julio-Claudian dynasty. Following a short distance beyond the Ninfeo and traversing the terme (baths), you’ll find Herculanean Way, leading to the Lacus Baianus, where substantial remains of two villas are visible. The maximum depth is -5 meters, making it suitable for beginners. Visibility is likely good in this sheltered environment.
