About this dive site
This dive site is located in the south of a significant archaeological park featuring the submerged city of Baia. This ancient urban center, representing the layout of the Bay, includes a street lined with taverns and a private villa known as Protiro’s villa due to its distinctive portico. The villa features rooms arranged around a central atrium, illuminated by natural light. A notable feature is the presence of splendid mosaics within one of these rooms, constructed from black and white tiles in a hexagonal pattern. The site offers an opportunity to explore remarkably preserved Roman architecture and art.
