This dive site is suitable for experienced divers who have completed Deep Diver training. Due to the current, a negative entry in the blue is typically required. Divers are invited to descend to approximately 40 meters to observe small purple gorgonias, which give the site its name. For safety, ascend slowly along the reef wall before running out of bottom time. The average depth here is 20 meters. You may encounter a variety of marine life including gorgonias, grouper, snapper, barracuda, nudibranchs, and red coral.
