About this dive site
This dive site offers a unique beach entry experience at Senma Dragon Hole in Japan. Starting shallow, it quickly deepens to 6-8 meters, making it an excellent training ground. The distinctive light filtering through an overhead opening creates an astonishing and memorable underwater atmosphere, setting it apart from typical shore dives.
Divers are almost guaranteed to encounter green turtles, with a remarkable 120% sighting rate. The site is also home to a diverse array of marine species, including swallowtails, butterfly fish, amberjacks, debassel fish, senakirilis sparrows, yellow snapper, snappers, longnose hawkfish, and occasionally gray reef sharks, although their encounter rate is low.
While the best time to visit isn't specified, the site's guaranteed turtle sightings and excellent training conditions make it a prime destination for divers of all levels. Its shallow entry and unique overhead light effects also render it highly suitable for both snorkeling and freediving enthusiasts.
