About this dive site

This dive site features two prominent pinnacles teeming with marine life, serving as the starting point for exploring a captivating canyon. Divers can choose their depth preference while navigating along one side of the canyon. Experienced divers can opt for a more challenging exploration, crossing the open water ('blue') to reach a tank formation further down. This offers a versatile dive experience, catering to both beginner and intermediate skill levels.

The site boasts a variety of marine inhabitants. Scorpionfish, known for their camouflage abilities, can be found lurking near the pinnacles and around the tank. Pairs of dragonfish or seamoths can also be spotted, providing an exciting opportunity for underwater photography. Reef fish populate the canyon walls and pinnacles, creating a vibrant underwater scene.

The best time to visit Aqaba for diving is generally during the spring and autumn months (April-May and September-October), when the weather is pleasant, and the water conditions are usually calm with good visibility. While the site is generally suitable for freediving due to its relatively shallow depth, divers should always maintain safe diving practices and be mindful of their limits. Good buoyancy control is essential to avoid contact with the rocky formations.
