About this dive site
This dive site is a remarkable horseshoe-shaped reef, offering a unique and rewarding experience for divers. The reef’s walls extend 14 meters at the top and 18 meters at its base, creating a dramatic and rugged coastline. It's characterized by six swimthroughs and numerous overhangs and caves, promising plenty of exploration. At the center of this impressive formation lies a flat, white sandy area that serves as a haven for various ray species – Blue Spotted Rays, Blue Stingrays, and Whip-Tailed rays. This reef is considered among the best inshore dives available, renowned for its surprises and the opportunity to explore twice: once for wildlife encounters and another time to navigate the exciting swimthroughs.
The area teems with typical marine life, including Morays, Lizardfish, Trumpetfish, Lionfish (both Common and Clearfin), Scorpionfish, and a diverse array of reef fish. Notably, this location is exceptionally well-suited for Whale Shark sightings during their migration season due to its position along their established path. The reef’s structure and abundance of marine life make it a particularly attractive destination.
Due to its frequent use in introductory scuba diving courses, there are ample chances to dive here, though two visits may not be sufficient to fully appreciate all that it has to offer.
