About this dive site
This dive site is located in the South African Drakensberg mountains, named for its impressive wall and the abundance of marine life. The site features a substantial 6-meter tall wall stretching approximately two kilometers from north to south. It's particularly well suited for drift dives where strong currents flow along the wall, capitalizing on the topography’s natural alignment.
Visitors often describe encountering huge potato groupers and observing several manta ray cleaning stations. A diverse array of game fish populate these waters, including Great Barracuda, Kingfish, various rays (Manta, Eagle, Devil, Blotched, Kuhl's), and Bowmouth Guitar Sharks. The memory of descending through schools of giant trevally is frequently cited as an unforgettable experience.
Tofo Scuba divers particularly favor this location due to its unique characteristics.
