About this dive site

This dive site, known as Krakatoa, presents a unique underwater experience. It’s an inshore reef resembling a sunken volcano crater or caldera, characterized by a wall of rock surrounding a depression averaging 2 to 4 meters lower than the surrounding seabed. The central area features rocky outcrops amidst sand, offering a slow-winding dive path with several swim-throughs. The site is renowned for its abundance of hard and soft corals alongside a diverse population of reef and game fish. Notably, it’s located at the far end of the Ocean Safari zone, providing exceptional opportunities to encounter Whale Sharks during both the approach and departure from the dive. The area provides one of the best chances to see and snorkel with these gentle giants.
