About this dive site
This dive site, Sherwood Forest, is renowned for its vibrant cleaning stations. The main attraction is a stunning dome of rock hosting an abundance of green tree coral – it’s truly everywhere. This coral provides vital shelter to a massive population of golden anthia, purple lyretail and cleaner wrasse fish, creating a remarkably colorful scene. Sherwood Forest is further distinguished by the presence of tightly packed blue-line and humpback snappers. Divers may also encounter mating pairs of masked bannerfish. For an unforgettable experience, opportunities exist to witness giant or reef mantas, impressive smalleye stingrays, blotched fantail rays, eagle rays, huge flocks of mobula rays – and if you're exceptionally fortunate, even a whale shark. A resident potato grouper named Robin Hood adds a touch of local charm; he can be surprisingly friendly! Keep an eye out for this character as he occasionally likes to sneak up behind unsuspecting divers.
