About this dive site

This dive site is the Al Munassir wreck, an 84m long former Navy vessel intentionally sunk in 2003. It rests at a depth ranging from 25 to 30 meters, making it accessible only by boat. Navigation underwater is relatively straightforward as the wreck is quite large and provides a clear visual reference point. The wreck itself is the primary focus of the dive, with penetration into the vessel (depending on experience and training) being a possibility.

The wreck is home to a vibrant array of marine life. Divers can expect to encounter Yellow tail snappers, Honeycomb moray eels, various species of Nudibranches, and Grey peppered morays. The wreck's structure provides ample habitats for these and other species, making it a biodiversity hotspot.

The best time to visit is likely during the cooler months (October to May), when visibility tends to be at its best and the water is generally calmer. Divers should be aware of potential currents and maintain proper buoyancy control. Although it is mostly safe for intermediate divers, prior experience with wreck diving is recommended.
