This dive site, known as Greenhorn, offers a diverse underwater experience combining sandy areas with scattered reef blocks and a gently sloping wall featuring gaps and sandy flats. Navigation typically involves exploring the various features along the slope and the reef blocks. It's particularly renowned for interesting night dives, offering a different perspective on its inhabitants and the impressive big table coral located at the end of the left shoulder of the dive.
Marine life at Greenhorn is abundant and varied, making it a treat for macro enthusiasts and those looking for larger creatures. Divers can expect to encounter fascinating scorpionfishes, graceful turtles, intricate anemone crabs, and a variety of decorator crabs. If fortunate, one might even spot swimming Pectinidae clams. The site is also home to a healthy population of table corals and other reef-building organisms.
Greenhorn is an excellent year-round destination, with night dives being a particular highlight to observe nocturnal creatures. Its relatively shallow maximum depth of 18 meters and an average depth of 9 meters make it suitable for both beginner and intermediate divers, as well as freedivers and snorkelers who can enjoy the upper reef sections and vibrant marine life.
