This dive site, Ponta da Passagem, is located near Sesimbra, Portugal, and features a large canyon with walls teeming with colorful marine life. The best time to visit is during the warmer months (May-October) when visibility is typically at its best and the water temperature is more pleasant. For freedivers, the moderate depth and generally calm conditions within the canyon make it a suitable location. However, divers should be aware of potential currents, especially near the canyon openings. Good buoyancy control is crucial to prevent disturbance of the delicate ecosystem.
