About this dive site

This dive site, Coco Beach, is located in the north of Jeddah and offers accessible diving for all levels. The shallow, easily accessible entry makes it perfect for beginners, with two caves at 3m depth and a 5m platform providing ideal exploration areas. More experienced divers can explore the drop-off to a sandy bottom at 36m, though the maximum recommended depth is 19m. Navigation is straightforward, following the natural contours of the seabed and reefs.

Marine life is abundant and diverse, featuring a variety of Red Sea fish species. Divers can expect to encounter stingrays, white ribbon eels, sweetlips, clownfish, and parrotfish amongst others. Hard and soft corals add to the vibrant underwater scenery, providing habitat for a wealth of smaller creatures.

The best time to visit is during the warmer months (spring and fall) when the water is clear and the marine life is most active. However, diving is generally possible year-round. For freedivers, the shallow areas are perfect for practicing breath-holds and exploring the reefs. Divers should be aware of the potential for mild currents and maintain proper buoyancy to avoid disturbing the delicate coral.
