This dive site, known as Artificial - Blok1, is part of a larger planned artificial reef system in Spain, specifically one of five distinct sites. It features a fascinating underwater landscape created by numerous concrete sculptures, including cubes, tubes, and pyramids. Divers can navigate easily around these structures, which are strategically placed on a sandy seabed, creating a striking visual contrast and a rich environment for marine life to flourish.
The concrete structures provide an excellent habitat, attracting a variety of marine species. Divers can expect to encounter plenty of rays gracefully gliding across the sandy bottom, along with trumpet fishes and moray eels finding shelter within the structures. Large groups of snappers are commonly seen, often joined by impressive barracudas patrolling the area.
The site is suitable for divers of all levels, including beginners and freedivers, due to its shallow average depth of 10 meters and maximum depth of 20 meters. While specific seasonal highlights are not mentioned, the rich marine life and unique artificial landscape offer a compelling experience year-round, conditions permitting. Snorkelers can also enjoy the shallower parts and vibrant ecosystem from the surface.
