About this dive site
This dive site is the Blue Hole, a renowned shore diving location in Lanzarote, Spain. Formed by an ancient lava tube, its entrance is situated just past a garden of eels at a depth of 18 meters (59 feet). For those without extensive experience, it’s advisable to avoid entering the tunnel. However, divers can still enjoy observing large round rays gliding over the sandy seabed and barracudas hunting schools of silverfish. Keen observers may spot nudibranchs, an octopus, or a seahorse. Within the passage, a torch is recommended to reveal larger groupers and trumpetfish hidden amongst the shadows. Be mindful of your buoyancy; visibility typically ranges from 15 to 20 meters (50 to 65 feet) before being affected by disturbance. Beyond the initial tunnel, the dive site extends further into the ocean to approximately 35 meters (119 feet) and continues even deeper. This unique location offers a captivating underwater experience.
