About this dive site

This dive site, Hoyos del Feo, is located off the coast of La Gomera, Spain. Divers follow a distinctive ravine west of the mooring point, which gradually deepens as they progress. This leads to an impressive vertical wall that drops off, revealing a small cave just beyond 30 meters, though the main recreational diving area stays within 20 meters. The seabed adjacent to the drop-off is characterized by light-colored sand, contrasting with the vibrant wall.

The vertical wall itself is a highlight, extensively encrusted with a variety of colorful sponges. Along the dive, visitors are likely to encounter fascinating marine life such as anemones, graceful stingrays, and island groupers. Toward the eastern section of the dive site, an extensive and thriving colony of *Palitoa* coral adds to the biodiversity and visual appeal.

While no specific best time to visit is provided, the Canary Islands generally offer good diving conditions year-round. This site is particularly well-suited for divers looking to explore interesting topography like walls and ravines, as well as those keen on macro photography thanks to the sponges and corals, and wide-angle shots of the wall and groupers. Freedivers can also enjoy the site's accessible depths and compelling wall features.
