About this dive site

This dive site offers a unique and rewarding experience due to the convergence of two distinct currents, creating a nutrient-rich environment that supports an incredible diversity of marine life. The depth ranges from 13 to 16 meters, making it suitable for divers with some experience. It’s ideal for longer dives, starting from the deeper areas and gradually ascending along the mountain's slope until reaching a final depth of approximately three meters where you’ll encounter large congregations of species like hogfish, salp, Sargassum seaweed, groupers (mojarras, lubinas), common congers (mero común), and golden congers (mero dorado). You may also have the chance to observe octopuses. A prominent rock formation, La Roca Madre – a small islet about 10 meters in diameter and 3 meters high – is located at the dive's beginning. This rock boasts a rich benthic fauna, with an abundance of nudibranchs and gorgonians.
