About this dive site

This dive site, La Ruta de los Meros, is located parallel to the coast of Ciudadela, Menorca. A short boat ride north from the port brings you to the dive site, where you'll anchor above Neptune grass at approximately 18m depth. The dive itself is generally conducted at shallower depths. The dive features a relatively straightforward route with several small, easily navigable caves and chimneys.

The marine life here is abundant and diverse. Groupers, breams, rainbow wrasses, damselfish, and two-banded seabreams are common sightings. Within the caves and chimneys, you'll find a wealth of macro life, including sea slugs, flower corals, and anemones. This makes it ideal for both macro and wide-angle photography.

The best time to visit is during the warmer months (May-October) when water visibility is typically at its best, and marine life is most active. For freedivers, the shallow depth and calm conditions make this an excellent site for exploring the caves and observing the vibrant macro life. Divers will also find this a relaxing and rewarding dive, though it’s important to note the shallow depth.
