About this dive site

This dive site is located approximately two miles from the coast in the Punta Entinas Marine Protected Area. The area features a fascinating underwater landscape centered around extensive fields of Posidonia oceanica, contributing to significant biodiversity. Divers can explore two distinct locations: Laja Cerrillos Norte and Laja de Cerrillos Sur, both characterized by large, flat limestone formations – essentially artificial reefs – forming small caves and crevices. These structures are ideal habitats for Congrios and Morenas, which are frequently observed in the area. The maximum depth is 14 meters. A notable feature of this site is the presence of Charonia lampas, a large sea snail up to 35cm in length, considered a protected species. It’s a double dive location offering varied exploration opportunities.
