About this dive site
This dive site is located in the capital of Lanzarote, a coastal area boasting numerous bridges and walkways that traverse its extensive reef. This rocky barrier, once hazardous to navigation, now provides refuge for the city named after it: Arrecife. It’s a unique location within the Canary Islands, distinguished by both its landscape and the diverse marine life it supports. The Marina area is home to species found nowhere else in the archipelago, including the “Zostera noltii” seaweed plant and various invertebrates, making this environment of significant biological and scientific importance. For beginner divers, Playa del Reducto offers a gentle introduction to the island’s underwater world. Within the reef's interior, tranquil lagoons form – ideal for exploring with goggles and snorkel from the shore. This provides an enjoyable alternative way to spend a relaxing day at the beach.
