About this dive site

This dive site, Pasito Blanco, is located a short distance from the Pasito Blanco sports beach in southern Gran Canaria. The underwater topography is unique, resembling a rectangular plateau approximately 60 meters long and 16 meters wide. This relatively shallow and easily navigable site is ideal for divers of all experience levels, particularly beginners due to its calm conditions and clear visibility. The site is easily accessible from the shore.

Marine life is abundant at Pasito Blanco. Divers and snorkelers can expect to see a variety of fish, including moray eels, spiny porcupinefish, and roncadores (grunts). The reef itself likely supports a healthy ecosystem of invertebrates and smaller fish, creating opportunities for macro photography. The variety of life seen here is typical of the region's coastal waters.

The best time to visit Pasito Blanco is during the warmer months (spring and summer), when water visibility tends to be at its best and the seas are calmer. Divers should check weather conditions and currents before entering the water. For freediving, the relatively shallow depth and calm conditions make this site suitable for both beginners and experienced freedivers. However, always practice safe freediving techniques and dive within your limits.
