About this dive site

This dive site is located in the El Perchel area, west of Puerto de Mogan in Gran Canaria, Spain. It's characterized by a pristine, untouched natural environment, free from significant building activities. The main attraction is a small horseshoe-shaped cave within a wall, easily accessible to divers of all levels. Navigation is straightforward, making it an ideal site for beginners. The site is not historically significant, as far as is currently known.

The marine life is diverse, with moray eels, octopus, snappers, damselfish, and occasional squid inhabiting the area. In deeper sections (around the 16-meter mark), divers may encounter rays and sharks, though sightings are not guaranteed.

The best time to visit is likely during the warmer months (spring and summer) when visibility is generally better and water temperatures are more comfortable. Divers and freedivers should take note of the relatively mild currents and simple navigation, but should still exercise caution in and around the cave. The depth is manageable, but proper planning and buddy diving practices are always recommended.
