About this dive site

This dive site, known as Piedra de en medio, is located in the bay of Marina del Este (La Herradura). It offers a unique diving experience accessible from either shore or boat. Shore access provides a beautiful navigational route filled with marine life leading to the rock formation, and it’s ideal for practicing underwater navigation skills during advanced courses. The stone itself presents two distinct depth zones: 14 meters at its southern end and 22 meters at its northern portion. Divers typically approach from the south and circumnavigate the rock along its western side. The site is known for abundant marine life, including various macro invertebrates and a wide array of nudibranchs, notably the captivating Moon fish, a favorite among divers.
