This dive site, San Martín – Cueva de la Virgen, is a popular and well-known location in Jávea. Divers anchor on a plain at approximately 12 meters depth, where the terrain slopes gently from East to West, reaching a maximum sandy bottom depth of 22 meters. The area offers a unique experience with several features, including a tunnel that crosses the path and a fascinating cave known as the Virgin's Cave. This grotto is distinguished by two large openings in its roof, allowing natural light to illuminate the interior. At the base of the cave rests a concrete sculpture depicting the Virgin of the Forsaken, placed there many years ago by local divers who celebrated their wedding within this beautiful space. The site consistently provides a rich and diverse aquatic environment, making it an enjoyable dive for experienced divers. Visibility is typically good, though dependent on sea conditions.
