About this dive site

This dive site, named Milimani in Kiswahili (meaning ‘the place of mountains’), offers a unique experience with its ancient hard coral formations. These formations rise dramatically from 18 meters to just below the surface. It’s a fantastic location for observing a wide variety of marine life. You can frequently encounter hawksbill turtles and Napoleon wrasse, and experienced guides often lead divers to a resident moray eel and Jenkins stingray at a cleaning station – where you can watch large fish being groomed by cleaner shrimp and other smaller wrasses. The reef is remarkably diverse, boasting numerous anthias (including tiny species), giant groupers, colourful schooling fish, as well as interesting creatures like leaffish and crocodilefish.
