About this dive site

This dive site is located a short boat ride west of Sairee beach. It has a fascinating history, originally commissioned by the US military at the end of World War II to patrol the Pacific waters against Japanese forces. The wreck sits approximately 18 meters below the surface near the wheelhouse and top deck levels, offering swim-throughs suitable for experienced wreck and technical divers reaching depths of up to 24/26 meters. Two impressive anti-aircraft Bofar 40mm cannons are situated at both the bow and stern of the site. The wreck has quickly become a vibrant habitat, teeming with reef fish, including schools of Yellow Tail Barracuda, Giant Groupers, and Jenkins Ray. It’s an excellent location for photographers looking to capture underwater wildlife. The visibility is good.
