About this dive site
This dive site offers a unique and vibrant underwater experience. During the whale shark season, these magnificent creatures cruise nearby, providing an incredible opportunity for sightings. Scorpionfish are abundant and easily spotted at any time of year. Notably, this location is one of the few places to find Coral Shrimpfish, alongside lovely Harp Coral growing on the sandy seabed. The area teems with life, including large schools of Fusiliers, One-Spot Snappers, Yellow-lined Snappers, Scad, Rabbitfish, and juvenile Yellowtail Barracuda – so numerous they can create a dazzling, almost overwhelming visual display when swimming through them. The underwater landscape features craggy overhangs and crevices formed by fallen boulders, providing secure hiding places for various fish species and other marine creatures. Large Potato Groupers are frequently found near the sandy area southeast of the main pinnacle. Abandoned fishing traps dot the site, serving as homes to diverse Nudibranch populations. The sheer number of fish creates a dynamic environment where visibility can be significantly reduced at times due to their density.
