About this dive site

This dive site features the C-47 Dakota, a 20m long, 30m wingspan military plane wreck sunk intentionally in 2007. Initially resting at 19-33m, it now lies in two parts, with the deeper section at an even greater depth. Navigation involves exploring the broken fuselage and wings, potentially requiring a guide for optimal exploration. The wreck itself is a key point of interest, but careful navigation is required due to the broken nature and depth of the site.

Marine life abundant around the wreck includes large groupers and schools of breams. While not a biodiversity hotspot, the wreck attracts these larger fish. Smaller marine life might be present but may be harder to find in the surrounding sandy environment.

The best time to visit is during the summer months (June-September) when the water is warm and visibility is typically best. Divers should be comfortable with wreck diving and managing moderate currents. Freediving is not recommended due to the depth. A dive guide is highly recommended for this wreck dive.
