About this dive site

This dive site is located in Williston, Florida, and features a remarkable freshwater spring and cavern system. The water maintains a consistent temperature of 22°C (72°F) year-round due to the natural springs, offering comfortable diving conditions throughout the year. Divers can explore three distinct areas: an open water basin, an upper cavern, and a lower cavern. At approximately 9 meters (30 feet), a diving bell equipped with air is available for use. The grotto is home to Virgil, a friendly softshell turtle, which divers may encounter during their explorations. Experienced divers can venture into the lower cavern, though a dive torch is recommended due to the darkness. The maximum depth of this underwater environment reaches 30 meters (100 feet), and visibility extends up to 30 meters (100 feet) thanks to the exceptionally clear spring water.
