About this dive site
This dive site, known as The Bubba, offers a unique wreck experience. It sank in 2010 after catching fire and burning to the waterline, approximately six miles off Marco Island. The vessel was primarily wooden, resulting in a significantly altered appearance – it no longer resembles a traditional boat. A substantial debris field surrounds the wreck, teeming with life. Key structures remaining include the outrigger and engine block along with the shaft. Divers often encounter large baitballs of fish near the site. It’s a favorite among experienced divers due to its challenging conditions and fascinating environment.
