About this dive site

The Semele Federesen, an inter-island cargo vessel, was deliberately sunk in 1985 to create an artificial reef. Two years later, Cyclone Uma moved the ship deeper, where it now rests on a sandy bottom between 38 and 55 meters. This advanced, deep dive is renowned for its spectacular visibility, which can often reach 40 to 50 meters, allowing divers to see the entire vessel on descent. The wreck is now adorned with vibrant soft corals and giant sea fans, bringing it to life in stunning shades of red, orange, and yellow. Due to its depth, this dive is recommended for experienced divers and serves as excellent preparation for other deep wreck dives in Vanuatu.
