About this dive site
This dive site offers a rewarding shore diving experience with relatively easy access. The depth ranges from 3 to 10 meters, providing opportunities to explore various underwater features such as crevices, overhangs, and swim-through tunnels. Situated outside the Merri Marine Sanctuary, it’s essential to verify your location before diving. This area is known for its abundant marine life, including Boarfish, Port Jackson Sharks, various rays, crayfish, and abalone. Diving here can be challenging due to surge and swell; therefore, it's recommended to dive during low tide on a low-swell day with light northerly winds. Local knowledge is highly valued at this site as the reef’s entry and exit points are via a rocky area that is exposed at low tide.
