This dive site is a strategic refuge island, serving as a backup when navigation to Ilha da Ancora isn't possible. Located in Armação dos Búzios, Brazil, approximately 30 minutes by boat from the main area, this location offers a unique diving experience focused on advanced skills. The average visibility is 7 meters, with a maximum depth of 15 meters. Divers can expect to encounter impressive wildlife, including large green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles feeding, alongside vibrant schools of colorful fish. A diverse array of rays is also frequently observed – vilão, treme-treme, chita, pintada, and even giant barreling rays. The dive itself involves navigating a rocky area with extensive coral formations (sol and baba de boi) while experiencing moderate currents that challenge buoyancy control, navigation skills, and body positioning. This dive provides an excellent opportunity to practice advanced techniques in a natural environment.
