About this dive site

This dive site is located at Ponta Grossa do Sítio Forte, a rocky point on the coast of Ilha Grande, Brazil. Navigating underwater is straightforward, as the dive site is relatively shallow and features a clear cove, offering a relaxed exploration. The area is known for its diverse marine life, making it an attractive spot for both beginner and experienced divers. The rock formations provide interesting features, crevices, and shelter to observe the aquatic wildlife.

The marine life is abundant and varied. Divers can expect to encounter Sergeant fish, Damselfish, Flying Gunnard, Marimbá, and Salema, along with many other species of fish. Various invertebrates and smaller marine life often inhabit the rocky areas and seafloor, providing plenty of opportunities for macro photography.
