This dive site, Pináculo Tv, is located off the coast of Santo Antão, Cabo Verde, accessible by boat after Monte Trigo bay. The dive begins on a shallow plateau of rock and sand, then follows a rocky reef line. The highlight is a prominent pinnacle near the cape's end, where divers can navigate around its structure, experiencing the dynamic underwater topography. While the dive site's maximum profile is 20 meters, the pinnacle itself extends deeper.
The site is renowned for its abundant marine life, often gathering in large schools around the pinnacle. Divers can expect to encounter Doctor fish, Bermuda sea chub, Blackjacks, Soldierfish, Tunas, Parrot fish, Trumpet fish, Pufferfish, Rays, Glasseye, and Groupers, creating a vibrant and active underwater scenario.
The best time to visit this site is generally during periods of calmer currents, although the presence of current often enhances the spectacle of schooling fish. It's an excellent location for both scuba divers and freedivers capable of handling moderate currents, offering diverse marine encounters and impressive underwater landscapes, particularly around the pinnacle structure.
