About this dive site

This dive site is located at Black Rock Beach in Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia. It’s a convenient location for divers of all skill levels, particularly those new to diving or who prefer easy access to the water – it's ideal for trunk divers and beginners. The beach has a gentle slope making entry and exit straightforward. Parking is readily available nearby. Be aware that the sandy bottom can stir up sediment, leading to reduced visibility; this typically clears within several minutes. You’ll find rocks on either side of the beach, so use a bearing of 080 degrees to locate a small wreck (marked by an orange triangle on the site map). For more experienced divers, there's a second wreck further out at a bearing of 095 degrees; reaching a depth of 50 feet or deeper indicates you’ve gone too far. Refer to the site map for safety.
