Marsa Abu Dabab

This dive site is Marsa Abu Dabab North, situated in the Marsa Alam region of Egypt. It's known for its easy access, both from the shore and by boat (although boats must approach from outside the bay). The dive site is relatively shallow, making it perfect for divers of all experience levels, including beginners and snorkelers. Navigation is straightforward, with a generally flat seabed offering easy exploration. Marine life is abundant at Marsa Abu Dabab. Divers and snorkelers can expect to see a variety of fish species, colorful coral reefs, and potentially encounter larger animals such as sea turtles and dugongs (sea cows), for which the site is particularly famous. There's a good mix of both macro and larger marine life, making it suitable for both macro and wide-angle photography. The best time to visit is during the warmer months (April to October) when visibility is generally excellent and the water temperature is most comfortable. However, year-round dives are possible, conditions are generally calm and suitable for freediving, but always check the weather conditions and current forecasts before entering the water. Remember to maintain a safe distance from marine life and respect the environment.
