About this dive site

This dive site, known as Three Pools, is located in the southern Red Sea region of Egypt. The dive begins by navigating through three shallow, sandy lagoons which give the site its name. These lagoons offer a gentle introduction to the dive, perfect for beginners. After the third pool, the site opens up to a more vibrant reef environment.

The marine life in this area is abundant and diverse. You can expect to see a wide variety of colorful fish, including lionfish and parrotfish. The reef itself is rich with brain corals and organ pipe corals, providing a stunning visual landscape. While large pelagic species might not be common here, the concentration of smaller fish and diverse coral makes it ideal for macro photography.

The best time to visit Three Pools is during the summer months (June-August), when the water is warmest and visibility is at its best. However, diving is pleasant year-round thanks to the generally mild temperatures in the Red Sea. For both divers and freedivers, this site offers an enjoyable experience and the calm waters make it suitable for beginners.
