About this dive site

This dive site, located on the south side of Isola Bella, offers a truly unique exploration experience in the Mediterranean. The area is characterized by a complex network of swim-throughs and fascinating rock formations, creating an underwater maze. Divers begin their descent close to the island, around 5 meters deep, allowing for careful organization before venturing into the surrounding environment. From this starting point, they follow the coastline on the left, discovering beautiful swim-throughs and navigating through the intricate rock structures. The water is often illuminated by sunlight filtering down from above, creating stunning light rays that reflect off vibrant sponges, starfish, and unusual Light bulb sea squirts. Keep an eye out for marine life – you might spot octopus hiding in their dens or tiny nudibranchs, some as large as a finger nail. This area is also popular with introductory divers, providing a sheltered bay ideal for learning confined water skills and offering a safe diving environment.
