This dive site is a poignant piece of maritime history, located off the coast of Marina di Orosei near Cala Gonone. It marks the resting place of a Nazi armed freighter that met its demise in 1943 following a torpedo strike by the British submarine Safari. The wreck was severed in two, with the bow section now approximately 300 meters from the main wreckage. This portion lies on its left side and offers a striking view – the portholes of the starboard side are remarkably clear. The site presents an intriguing dive for experienced divers comfortable exploring deeper waters. Visibility is expected to be good, allowing detailed examination of the ship's structure and the surrounding marine environment.
