About this dive site

This dive site presents a fascinating wreck experience within Cala Luna. The Hake, an ancient Italian merchant ship, lies on its left side in the depths of Cala Luna. It was tragically damaged by torpedoes from the British submarine Safari during 1943, and subsequently impacted by cannon fire, leading to the loss of much of its hull. Divers can explore significant portions of the ship's machinery—including the propeller and rudder—as well as considerable sections of the bow and stern. The wreck’s exposed structure provides a unique opportunity to examine maritime history and engineering from that era.
