About this dive site

This dive site, Nemo's Garden, is a unique underwater agricultural project located in the calm bay of Noli, Liguria, Italy. Five underwater greenhouses are anchored to a sandy seabed at an average depth of 7 meters, with a maximum depth of 15 meters. The site is easily navigable due to its shallow depth and lack of significant currents. The overall experience is one of exploring a man-made marvel integrated with the natural environment.

The marine life at Nemo's Garden isn't abundant in terms of large species, but you can spot various fish species common to the Mediterranean Sea, including smaller fish, crustaceans, and possibly even the occasional seahorse which are mentioned in the site description. The greenhouses themselves provide an interesting visual element, while the sandy seabed offers a relatively simple but pleasant underwater landscape.

The best time to visit Nemo's Garden is during the warmer months (spring to fall) when the water temperature is more pleasant and the visibility is better. While the site is suitable for both snorkeling and freediving due to its shallow depth and calm conditions, divers should be aware of the possibility of entanglement with the greenhouse structures. Always maintain a safe distance and be respectful of the experimental nature of this unique site. Remember that this site is primarily for observing the unique structure, and its marine life is more of a secondary attraction.
