About this dive site

This dive site is located at the head of a promontory separating two inlets, with the renowned bay of Mitigliano situated on its right. The underwater landscape features a significant artificial structure: a series of stepped pipelines designed to supply water to Capri. This creates a dramatic visual element, extending down to approximately 35 meters. Divers can explore this area from either side. To the left, a gravelly seabed supports patches of Posidonia seagrass at a depth of 18 meters, and is home to octopus, red mullet, and various bottom-dwelling fish amongst landslide boulders. The opposite slope presents a vertical limestone wall characterized by ravines that lead to a plateau at 18 meters before descending into a sandy bottom reaching depths of around 40 meters. This deeper section is adorned with yellow gorgonians and crinoids, while lobsters are occasionally observed here. Currents are generally mild, though visibility can vary. The area offers diverse marine life including sponges, sea lilies, molluscs, and various fish species.
