About this dive site

This dive site features Cala Conca, located south of Marettimo and positioned by Secca. The area offers a unique underwater experience on a square bathymetry ranging from 25 to a maximum depth of 30 meters. The seabed is primarily sandy with scattered patches of posidonia seagrass. A prominent feature is the presence of numerous boulders, heavily encrusted with madrepores and sponges – creating a vibrant and textured environment. Notably, one boulder on the Libeccio side is completely covered in red gorgonians; these are particularly impressive due to the consistent current, which keeps them fully open and displaying their large branches. A small passage leading into this boulder offers beautiful light play and serves as a habitat for a sizable sedentary brown grouper. At approximately 27 meters, you'll discover a tuna anchor resting on its rakes, pointing towards the south. The ascent and descent are conducted through clear, emerald blue waters characteristic of Marettimo.
