About this dive site

This dive site is located at Fortizza Reef, a shore dive accessible from the seaside promenade in Sliema, Malta. This reef presents a diverse underwater landscape with numerous caverns, tunnels, arches, overhangs, valleys, and interesting rock formations – ideal for exploration and navigational practice using compass or underwater pilotage. It’s suitable for divers of all levels, reaching depths of up to 15 meters on average, though maximum depths can exceed this. The site offers a surprising abundance of marine life and is well-suited for underwater photography. Fortizza Reef and the adjacent Coral Gardens are often referred to as Sliema House Reef.

This reef provides an excellent opportunity to practice dive skills while enjoying a rich ecosystem. The shallow waters and varied formations make it a rewarding experience for both novice and experienced divers.
