About this dive site
This dive site presents the Irako, a refrigeration supply ship of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She rests nearly upright at a depth of 45 meters. Despite sustaining damage to the bridge, the wreck remains remarkably intact and offers an intriguing experience for experienced divers. Local dive professionals describe it as "DDD" – Deep, Dark, and Dangerous. Navigating this wreck requires exceptional buoyancy control due to its numerous narrow passages and reduced visibility. On the exterior, a large school of jacks frequently forms a striking tornado-like pattern around the mast. The upper sections of the Irako are known to be inhabited by a diverse array of marine life, including snappers, groupers, barracuda, and lionfish.
