About this dive site

This dive site is located in Sesimbra, Portugal, and offers a remarkably quiet and sheltered diving experience due to its protection from the prevailing northern winds. It’s considered an easy-to-navigate spot, making it suitable for divers of varying levels. At the bottom of the anchor line, two large stone discs provide a unique feature – they are often home to sea horses. The maximum depth on sand is approximately 14 meters during spring tides, while on the rocks, it reaches around 11 meters. The area is known for its diverse marine life including several algae species which flourish particularly in the summer months. You may encounter various fish species, octopus, cuttlefish, brittle stars, nudibranchs, sea cucumbers, and sea urchins.
